Donor Criteria

Note: Different countries and donor centers may have different regulations.



In general, you have to meet the following criteria in order to donate platelets:
  • You are over 17yrs of age
  • You weigh over 130lbs (55kgs)
  • You are generally healthy
  • You have not taken Aspirin or Aspirin related medication 24hrs prior to donating
